About

A scientist by trade, and a writer by night. Lover of flowers, trees and all things green.

I’m Olivia Cousins, and I have a dream. A dream to make a difference in the world using plants. I am a second year PhD student at the University of Adelaide and University of Nottingham, investigating drought and nitrogen stress on plants, soil & microbes.

Meristem Journeys branches into many areas of plant science, and it’s my way of enlightening others of the importance of plants and their weird, fun and whacky nature. Sometimes there will be the occasional non-plant-related guest post.

But in the meantime, welcome to my world of science.

Olivia 🙂
